    • Modern technology renders Strong's original concordance obsolete, since a computer can duplicate Strong's work in a fraction of a second. However, Strong's Hebrew and Greek lexicons are still used today as a reference tool, and Strong's original numbering system of Hebrew and Greek words has become the standard for original language reference in study of the Bible. This site duplicates most of the original content of Strong's Concordance with a word search as well as a lexicon search. Words in the Concordance search are linked the lexicon entries.

    • Webster's Dictionary / Webster's Thesaurus

    • etymonline
      • etymonline is an online etymology dictionary that offers quick and reliable accounts of the origin and history of English words. Scholarly, yet simple. Etymologies are not definitions; they are explanations of what words meant 600 or 2,000 years ago. Think of it as looking at pictures of your friends' parents when they were your age. These are histories of words only, not things or ideas. The modern word for something might have replaced old, forgotten words for the same object or concept. The site often tells you what they were.

      • Today in Christian History
        • The Christian History Institute hosts this page which provides a daily list of events in Christian history. To see a specific date, simply add the month and day to the end of the URL. For example, to see events specifically on June 1st, add "/6/1" after "today" in the web address.
